I am not as concerned with the decade the music came out of, as the approach. I like layers of sound, some natural grit, some finesse. Not overly-reliant on effects, not afraid to use them. I would like to meet people open to creative recording, possibly leading to playing out, but not bent on that. If you are good with Apple's Logic software, that is great.
