I have been playing guitar for 20 years and violin for 14 years in all styles including classical, jazz, pop, middleastern, Indidan, Turkish, Macedonian, Gypsy and fusion.
In addition to these instruments I play the keboards, Ney-middleeastern reed flute ond the oud-middleeastern fretless double stringed lute.
I perform locally for various self produced events as well as record and collaborate with other bands and composer songwriters.
I have been performing violin with the UCLA ethnomusicology Department for 14 years.
SMC Orchestra for two years.
Currently a violin player in the newly formed Souhail Kaspar Ensemble.
I am a musician of many tastes and am looking for a more mainstream direction and progressive colaborators.
I am looking for versatile musicians to start a world fusion performance, recording and multimedia project.
Would like a bassist, World percusionist and keyboard player with a varity of samples and microtone knowledge and playing untempered scales for middle eastern fusion.

My name is Tara, and I am an 18 year old singer/lyricist, who has over 7 years singing experience and 4 years writing experience. I am able to sing between alto and medium/somewhat high soprano. I'm a vocalist, keys, bass and/or guitarist with lots of band experience. Early retired from IT (I'm 58) and would like to hook up with other musicians to play some jobs part time. Can do any style (except metal, opera or rap), and ideally would like to hook up with a guitar, sax, drums, bass, keys combo, do some vocals and play what ever does the most good for the band. I'm not a great instrumental soloist but can cut a respectable groove on the instruments mentioned. I'm from Old Greenwich, have all pro equipment and PA...looking for some seasoned musicians to play a mix of classic Rock, Standards, R&B, etc. Not into the 3am bar scene. |
