I've only been playing accordion for about 2.5 years, but I started with a working knowledge of piano and have played solidly through that time. I play a lot by ear, come up with harmonies on the fly, and seek to fill in sound where needed. I've done sit-ins and fill-ins with several local performers and played for a 6-week Saturday afternoon stint at a local pub. I have a moderate catalogue of Irish trad and not-so trad and some other stuff, and am extremely comfortable on stage - singing, playing, or both.
