We used to play restaurants and different gigs, however I would like to focus on building a repetoire of English songs in the Mariachi style, and try and play some local restaurants / gigs. I think there is untapped potential there.

I can sight-read anything as well as improvise over chord charts or by ear in about any style including Jazz Standards (Real Book), Jazz Fusion/Rock Fusion, R&B, Blues, Funk, Latin, Rock & Country. I received lessons for a few years from legendary recording/session bassist Chuck Rainey (Steely Dan, Aretha Franklin, Barbara Streisand, Quincy Jones,etc.)as well as formal instruction at the university/college level. I have been playing for about 10 years my playing sounds like Brad Paisley mixed with Slash, Clapton, and small amount BB King. I have been in several projects that just never really did anything I am looking to just get out there and play and go from there. I have some decent gear(not pro though). I use two main guitars a fat strat copy and a pre factory prs kncokoff, through a gfx-5 into a peavey renown 400 4x12 combo.
