The semi-noir sound of The Thread has been described as a melodically-charged, multi-layered, fusion of hard rock and progressive/alternative metal. This album-oriented band puts emphasis on their conceptual songs by loosely arranging polyrhythmic odd-time signatures comfortably within subtly-deep melodic overtones, creating a cinematic scope easily grasped by any listener.
Though initially rooted in alternative hard rock, The Thread have always claimed diverse influences beyond the aspect of the band's sound. Each band member curiously experiments within his musical range, exploring the notion that form emerges between struggle and resistance.
The Thread's work is a satisfaction for the appetites of hard/progressive rock fans that appreciate musicality and musicianship. Their devotion is strengthened by a driving force striving for accomplishment while their music gives an audience a thematic journey. |
