About me: I'm a singer/lyricist looking for a multi instrumentalist to write songs with and then form a band.

I've written some great lyrics (if I do say so myself!) but feel the backings I came up with were never what I wanted. The backing tunes are multi genre and quite experimental (lots of samples, effects and strings), I want to turn them into guitar, bass, keys and drums based songs that can be recorded as an album then played live.

Influences I'd like to head towards are The Smiths, Pixies, Jane's Addiction and Primal Scream. A dymanic more melodic QUIET/loud sound.

About us: A busy Ska Band based in Leeds is looking for a proficient lead guitarist. We have work most weekends in and around Yorkshire all of which is paid. We rehearse weekly on Monday evening in Leeds. New charts are being added to the setlist continually. Lead sheets can be provided if needed. 8 Piece band with Sound Engineer.
Music is covers from Specials, Madness, Bad Manners, The Beat etc etc. We are also introducing some originals.

About us: THE VENUS CHILDREN NEED YOU

We are an established all-originals band based in Leeds. We are in the final stages of recording our debut album and have gigs lined up. We play a spacey fusion of shoegaze, psych rock and a juicy helping of funk.

With the imminent departure of one of our members, we will lose... our member?

We are looking for a guitarist and a singer, whether that's in one sumptuous PACKAGE or as two separate souls.

Guitar: We are looking for someone with a bit of SPUNK in their playing. Loose, funky and choppy is the order of the day here.

Singer: In an ideal world, we're after someone who can lead from the front and put a load of energy and seductive charm into the songs. Also, we have been experimenting with vocal effects, so an openness to getting weird is a big bonus.

About us: We are currently four boys in our late 20s to early 30s, all living in Leeds. We like to get silly but we take the band fairly seriously. We're looking to push the album hard once it's done, with plenty of gigging and the rest of it.

About me: I’m a lead vocalist with a strong n powerful voice. I’ve been told I have the same style of voice n singing to the likes of Amy Winehouse - who has been a major influence to me. I’ve mainly sang in pubs n at open mics with various musicians who are already part of a band, n would now like to get something established for myself. I’ve also sang at the cockpit n different clubs in Leeds. Aside from Winehouse I would describe Alicia Keys (earlier material), Bruno Mars, and Paloma Faith as musical influences. I adore the 60’s era n powerhouses such as Aretha Franklin, Sam Cooke n the Ronettes. ‘Wall of Sound’ by Phil Spector has played a major part in my early introduction to music. I do also love Bruce Springsteen, Kings of Leon and various other rock n roll artists. I’m listening to a lot of Sam Fender at the moment.
