I'm primarily a piano player have been playing since I was 5 and will continue to play until the day I die. I worked for years simply playing on an old beat up Roland with no extra sounds outside of the piano patch and had no laptop. Just me and the keys, so I learned an awful lot about how to do interesting things with raw harmony and melody as my tools. I've also developed a keen ear and can quickly figure out melodies/harmonies/chords just by listening.
I played for a local band in my home town and gigged around with them for a year or so and got some live performance and studio sessions under my belt. Our original material is very bedroom pop (Search for Strawberry Season on Spotify) but we also tossed around cover ideas quite a bit simply because we really liked learning and playing our favorite songs. We had setlists built up from lots of 70s funk and 80s pop.
I'm very handy on percussion instruments and the traditional kit if needed. I know my way around guitar and bass and can sing moderately well. After moving here to Colorado I got an Arturia KeyLab mkII 88 key MIDI controller and have been quickly learning a lot about the Reaper DAW and audio production in general. Its a whole universe of possibilities that has exploded into my musical life and I would love to be able to learn how to effectively use the setup for live performances and jam sessions.
I'm here for any and all musical needs and interests. Comping chords, shreddy synth sequences, soft and sophisticated classic piano material, providing atmospheric noise whatever, I just want to play music! ...click to see more
