How can Find a Musician help me?
Find a Musician helps you to easily find the band members, the band or the musicians you want.
How do I create my ad?
Just register with us and your ad is automatically created. Remember, the more details you add once you are logged in the higher your chances of finding the right people.
How do I contact other members?
Once you have created an account (which automatically creates your ad) you will be able to search our database of musicians and bands. If you find a Member you want to contact you will need to upgrade to Fully Subscribed Membership. Use the ‘contact me’ button on their listing or their profile.
How do I delete my account and remove my ad?
Once you are logged in, go to 'my account' and then 'my account' on the top menu or click here and follow the instructions.
Is it free to join and advertise on Find-a-Musician.com?
Yes! You only pay if you want to upgrade your membership to Fully Subscribed Membership.(See the FAQ for the benefits of Fully Subscribed Membership) You can join and create your ad for free. You only need to pay if you want to contact another member.
Can other members contact me as a Basic Member?
Yes! We will send you an email telling you that you have a message at Find-a-Musician anytime a member contacts you (Unless you have chosen to not receive notification emails from us - you can change this setting in ‘my account’).
How do I change my mailing/notificiation preferences?
We don’t want to send you emails you don’t want! So once you are logged in, click on 'my account' and then 'my account' from the dropdown menu or click here. On the page that opens you will see the options to alter your mailing/notification preferences.
What are the advantages of Fully Subscribed Membership?
The benefits to being a subscribing member are...
1. You can send messages to other Members.
2. You can include phone numbers, web addresses and email addresses in your profile.
3. Your account won't be removed after 4 months inactivity.
4. You can keep your messages indefinitely (currently removed after 30 days).
5. You have a sent message folder to help you keep track of who you've contacted.
6. You can upload more than one MP3 demo and picture.
7. You will see no third party adverts while you're viewing the site.

How do I become a Fully Subscribed Member?
You can become a Fully Subscribed Member by logging into your account and clicking on ‘upgrade my account’ on the top menu or from the ‘my account’ dropdown menu.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Firstly login. Click on 'my account' and then 'my account' from the dropdown menu or click here. You will see an unsubscribe button at the bottom of the page. This will take you to PayPal and once logged in there you can cancel your subscription. If the link can't automatically find your subscription then search for a transaction with firstname.lastname@example.org and you will find your subscription. If you still can’t find it let us know and we will cancel it for you.
Will My subscription be automatically renewed after I upgrade to Fully Subscribed Membership?
To make sure you get the most from Find-a-Musician.com your subscription will automatically renew. If you choose to cancel the renewal you will continue to get Fully Subscribed Membership until it would normally be due for renewal.
How can I change my username?
Contact us at email@example.com with the username you'd like and we will change it for you.
How do I upload pictures and mp3s?
Firstly login. Click on 'my account' and then you choose to upload pictures or mp3s from the dropdown menu.
How can change my ad/profile?
Firstly login. Click on 'my account' and then 'update profile'. Remember... the more detail you add the more likely you are to find what you are looking for!
How do I change my password?
Firstly login. Click on 'my account' and then 'my account' from the dropdown menu or click here. You can change your password on this page.
I didn't receive my welcome email, how do I activate my account?
If you attempt to login you will be prompted to resend the welcome email.
The email is most likely in your 'spam' or 'junk' mail folder. If you find it there, drag it to your inbox or click the link that says 'this is not spam' or 'not junk' or 'wait this is safe!' (usually at the top of the email once you've opened it depending on your email provider). Then click on the link in the email to complete your registration.
If you can't find it in your junk or spam folder then make sure you've added firstname.lastname@example.org to your safe list. The easiest way to do this is to add email@example.com to your contacts list.
If you still don't receive the email then send firstname.lastname@example.org an email with the subject 'confirmation' and we'll confirm the email address manually for you.
