Ive been playing and writing songs for a few decades I have played in gigging local bands in PA when I was younger but never really anything serious and while I may have made a few dollars playing guitar here or there I would not consider myself a professional musician Im just looking for other old guys in the Damascus Mt Airy Germantown areas to play with who have other life priorities but still want to stay active musically and work on material a few times a month My influences are from the classic school of Bob Dylan the Band Stephen Stills and Neil Young I have some foreign exchange credits in Rolling Stones Beatles Kinks Faces Pink Floyd and the Who I have tried to get a graduate degree in Willie Waylon Merle and George but dropped out after trying to grasp Buck Owens Im currently dragging my feet with post graduate work in Steve Cropper and Jerry Garcia At this point in my life Im ok probably being more David Crosby than David Gilmore and singing much more like Tom Waits than Tom Jones If I ever write a song 14 as as good as Robert Hunter I could probably consider at least half my life not fully wasted

I like to jam on harmonica - and according to those I jam with - I am pretty good. Classic rock, folk rock, blues, classical, pop - very adaptable. I play in the basement with a few friends for years - but more frequently on my own for many a decade. Love this harmonica - but also strum the guitar - only for myself. I am not playing public guitar. I have played harmonica publicly in a range of limited gigs- and I never was a part of a band. Looking to jam, do open mike, have fun - and if i find an actual band, I would take it...but my first step is to find some local musicians that want to play in the basement.
