About us: We're a trio looking for a lead vocalist, ideally who can also play keyboard or rhythm guitar. We've got drums, lead guitar, and me doing bass/vocals. I'd like to be able to focus more on playing bass. Want someone who can do vocals on most songs, but isn't going to be bored when we do instrumental jams or for the songs I want to sing.
We're a casual band playing because it's fun. We'd like to eventually do some playing out, but for fun - not trying to gig as a second job.
We practice Monday evenings at a space in Grandview.
Music styles seem to meet around 80's and 90's alternative, post punk, new wave (REM, The Cult, Better than Ezra, The Cure). All members contribute song suggestions. Also spending time just jamming. We're doing covers and originals.
About us: We play what ever sounds good. We just put the group together been playing together for a short time but starting have things coming together and sound good, just need a few members to round us out. We do this for fun and plan to play out
About us: We're a 3 piece band looking for a fourth who can play bass and guitar. My wife is the lead singer and bassist, but would like to primarily sing. Backing vocals are a plus. We've played together for 15yrs and want to play locally/regionally 1-3 times a month. We play originals and covers such as Dreams-Fleetwood Mac, The Seeker-The Who, I Feel the Earth Move-Carol King, Every Day is a Winding Road-Sheryl Crow, and Witchy Woman-The Eagles. Looking for someone mature and a little laid back.
About us: I am a Lead and rythm guitar. I have played in classic rock bands that play Tom Petty, Neil Young, Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead,Led Zeppelin etc.
About us: Lead guitarist and vocalist of Ohio oldschool death metal band Wretched Knell. We have a range of influences and genres including death, black, and thrash metal, with bands such as Deicide, Gorguts, Bloodbath, and more. We are in the process of tracking and recording a full length album before returning to live shows, and are in search of a dedicated bassist to help drive our music creatively and technically. About us: Akron based bass player & drummer is searching for advanced level lead & rhythm guitarists with lead &/or backing vocal ability interested in bringing back high energy rock & roll for a new cover band project. Selections from Foo Fighters, Tonic, AC/DC, Scorpions, Van Halen, etc. plus whatever you would like to bring to the table in that genre. 70's to present. If it rocks & it's fun, we'll give a try! Ladies don't be shy! We have rehearsal space in Akron. Please no egos, drama, or heavy drugs/alcohol.
About us: Experienced musician (rythym, lead and vocals) with a solid bass player looking for primarily a drummer but also another guitarist / vocalist. We have a great practice spot, very nice, new PA and mixer/recorder as well as professional studio gear for mixing/mastering.
We are older... 50's on up. We don't care about your age.
We are looking to play blues, southern rock & classic rock or today's rock. It doesn't really matter as long as it has a blues feel and is not the same ole same ole. You need to be able to follow that vision.
Our goals as far as playing out:
Not interested in the bar scene 10 - 2 gigs,
not in a rush to play out, would rather play an afternoon gig 4 - 7 or 7 - 10, something like that. Not interested in playing out every weekend either, just occasionally to start out... take it from there.
Not interested in wasting time with partiers or drunks... serious musicians only need apply.
