About us: I have an acoustic Trio and Quartet called Thrace.
Trio = Nylon and 12-String Guitar / Flute / Upright & Electric Bass
Quartet = Nylon and 12-String Guitar / Flute / Upright & Electric Bass / Steel-String and Electric Guitar & Vocalist
(No percussion, drums or keyboards)
We rehearse weekly at my place in Chantilly, VA (22033).
We gig as much as we can.
Usually 10-15 a year.
More if we can get them.
We have played wineries, retirement communities, weddings and parties.

Our upright/electric bass player is moving away.
We are looking for either a cellist and/or an upright/electric bass player.

The trio plays classical & neo-classical music as well as original arrangements of popular to obscure rock, pop and progressive rock covers.
The trio also performs a Christmas show each year of all original arrangements of Christmas Music.

The quartet performs original (staying as true to the original as possible) arrangements of popular to obscure rock, pop and progressive rock cover as well as instrumental neo-classical music

I am an active performer in the DMV for weddings and corporate events and I am looking to extend my offers by putting different ensembles together. About me: I am a rock drummer for hire. I am available for touring. I have been playing drums and performing my whole life from an early age marching corps and highschool drumline plus jazz, orchestral, and concert band. Have a lot of stage time and experience. I grew up playing Tom Petty and Pearl Jam as a kid but I'm influenced by the 90s and 70s bands. I'm looking for a touring band to get back on the road again. I am willing to travel. I have determination, commitment, pro gear, and time.
Also, about a year ago I began using Ai to create songs from lyrics I have written over the years. I am currently in the process of seeking musicians to fill the roles in the group and take the show live.

About me: Meghan Faw is a professional violinist and Suzuki trained teacher based in New Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and her Master of Music degree from DePaul University. Meghan has taught in various public and private schools and held her own private teaching studio. Meghan has also completed her Suzuki training through book 6. In addition to teaching, Meghan enjoys an active performing career, having collaborated with artists such as Itzhak Perlman, Stephan Jackiw, and Michael Bolton.

About me: Multi-instrumentalist seeking new musical experiences, opportunities, bands, work, collaborations, etc! Interested in discussing any ideas you have or want to try or need me to be a part of. Here’s an informal resume:

-Experience performing at various levels of professionalism. Approximately 10 years.
-In addition to the instruments I selected for the ad, I also play mandolin, some keys, and I am learning saxophone. Eventually planning to learn violin. Mostly self-taught.
-Studied music theory under instruction of a professional jazz guitarist for one year.
-Experience being a part of and managing bands. Mix of cover and original bands.
-Able to improvise and adapt to rhythmic and modal changes in live and jam settings.
-Conceptual knowledge of polyrhythms; comfortable in 2:3 and 6:4 as well as 4:3. Comfortable with odd time signatures.
-Experience with live sound mixing and PA systems. Approx 3 years.
-Experience recording, mixing and mastering songs, demos, and other musical productions both as a performer and producer. Approx 3 years.
-Looking for more opportunities to record and produce artists/bands.
