About me: I am a lead vocalist who has toured with many bands. I occasionally play around on bass and acoustic guitar. I also have experience with keyboards and every aspect of recording. I’ve recorded professionally in the past and have many contacts who could be helpful as well. I originally stepped away from the music business to focus on my family over ten years ago but have decided that I would like to pick up where I left off. As a vocalist in the past I opened for Nickelback. When I was younger my band won the Battle of the Bands to play at Warped Tour. I also played some shows with Devil Wears Prada and Rose Funeral in another band when I was younger. I even played bass as a last minute stand in for George Jones band after George passed away. About me: I play blues, funk, soul, and rock with a southern sensibility. 34 years old. Been at it for 27 years. I play all the necessary instruments to record any music I make myself (all guitars, blues harp, drums, bass, piano, organ, and vocals), but this stuff isn't fun to do alone and we all know that. I would love to get a band together or be a part of an already formed unit. I lean heavily towards Southern Rock bands such as the Allman Brothers, Little Feat, as I'm an avid slide player and improvising on a big, grooving canvas is what I love most, but I am just as comfortable with tight, punchy 3 and half minute tunes and truly prefer a nice mix of both approaches. Everything from early Muddy Waters and Elmore James to modern funk and jazzy stuff. I am a strong and soulful singer with a broad array of genres and styles I can move between. My main instrument is the guitar but I am also at home on the bass (they're drastically different instruments with different purposes), keyboards, harmonica, or behind the kit. I own all the instruments a rock or blues band would need and the practice space to use it in freely, with very little restraint on time or volume. I have tons of original music and quite a few lyrics also and I am looking for musicians who want to put together a group that plays, arranges and composes fun songs that allow musical freedom and for each individual member's musicianship and creativity to shine. In my experience, this only happens when people can play as a group just as well as they can all by themselves. This requires communication and time committed to practicing. With that in mind, I'll say I'm not looking to deal with egos or thin skin divas. I am looking to back up the people who back me up and put together a sound. Trying to start a group of my own regardless of other commitments so if you are a band seeking an individual player, please still feel free to reach out.
