About me: I'm Alex 26 years of age from Dudley, West Midlands.
I have been primarily drumming since the age of 2. Some of my musical influences in terms of drummers are Cledell King, Calvin Rodgers, Emanuelle Caplette, Sarah Thawer, Larnell Lewis, Kaz Rodriguez, Jesse Grant, Tony Royster Jr, Jeff 'Io' Davis
And vocalists such as: Phyllis Hyman, Peabo Bryson, James Ingram, Wendy Moten, Trey Lorenz, Tevin Campbell and most recently Raye.
I graduated from Resonance Education with a degree in Popular Music Performance and currently do projects for singing and song writing.
Recently I sung an original song at St Michael's Church in Brierley Hill and sang as part of a Chorale Choir at the Dudley Town Hall. When it comes to drumming, the way I play I play can often be a bit eclectic and very broad and diverse. In terms of singing, I'm reasonably good.
I can play a variety of different genres such as: Bossa Nova, Jazz, Rock, Reggae, Hip-Hop, Gospel, R and B, Soul, Calypso, Blues, Disco, Chill Music and more.
I have worked and performed with well known local musicians in the West Midlands such as singer/songwriter Dan Whitehouse, Chris Roberts, The Voice Contestant Janel Anatoisha (who was a guest performer for my University assessed performance)and well known church band Revival Fires Worship Team (also known as Revival Creative). If anyone would like to collaborate, then I am more than happy to do so. I have recently participated on two live albums; singing on albums such as: The Brierley Hill Songbook (2023), A Winter's Tale (2024) a live concert Diva Dudley Chorale (2025) and most recently background vocals and drums on one track - Pour Out by Revival Creative (2026). I will be featured on an up and coming album due to be released soon with another original song written.
