About me: I am a 46 year old but very young at heart music enthusiast who simply loves to sing. Being in a band would be a new experience but have had some stage experience many moons ago & am very used to being in lead roles at work and in front of an audience in speaking roles etc. Singing in an event band is something that I’ve always fancied. Musical influences are in firstly very much within Soul: meaning, Motown, Northern, gospel, Classic Jazz etc but also I’m a child of the 80s and esp 90s and bands: indie music, indie rock is a great live of mine as well a bit of funk and even folk and various ballads. I love retro and would say that if I had an absolute favourite song to sing, it’d be something like; ‘At last’ by Etta James but I can definitely pick up pace with up tempo songs too. Musical training is zero but I am a very willing student!
