About us: Wanted: Also plays bass
Second Hand Weather is a London two-piece, guitar/vocals and drums. So far a bass pedal has covered the low end and a second guitar pickup + FX the top end. We want a third person to take that over and make it their own. "Also plays bass" is the point. Ideally you play a few things (keys, guitar, synth, whatever you've got) and can sing backing vocals. The bass can be simple. We care more about groove, taste and texture than technique.
The sound is Americana fingerpicking under British indie-rock. The songs are first-person, about loss, doubt and getting on with it. Happy sad songs for life.
Where we're at: we've played together for a long time, but this project is just kicking off. Singles out through the autumn, a first gig in November, and aiming for monthly London gigs in 2027. We rehearse weekly in Earlsfield.
What we're offering: unpaid for now, rehearsal costs split evenly, gig income split evenly, and a songwriting share on parts you create. We take it seriously, but we've got families, jobs and lives, and that's fine.
If you're interested, send a rough recording of you playing along to one of our tracks, or a link to something you've played on.
