The band I envision and would like to create is a heavy, yet melodic and anthemic band where every song is memorable and the audience and sing back to themselves. I believe there is a serious lack of anthemic metal songs nowadays, as too much emphasis is put on downtuned heaviness for the sake of heaviness. I want to make hard hitting melodic songs with big & powerful choruses coupled with head-crushing riffs and occasional harsh vocals. SEE BELOW FOR MUSICAL INFLUENCES/IDEAS...
Here's my vision:
- Anthemic, memorable, melodic & authentic heavy rock music with a heavier metal influence
- Melodic & anthemic influence of 2000-2010s hard rock and metal bands such as; Black Veil Brides, Linkin Park, Bullet For My Valentine, Killswitch Engage and Avenged Sevenfold
- Coupled with heavier influence of bands such as; Sylosis, Malevolence, Bleed From Within, Architects, Pantera & Children of Bodom
- Guitar work = powerful memorable riffs, big groovy breakdowns, guitar harmonies, melodic and exciting guitar solos
- Primarily cleaner vocals with harsh screams & vocal distortion sprinkled in to help emphasize more powerful and heavier sections
