About me: I'm a singer and literate/original lyricist (if I do say so myself!) seeking an ambitious dynamic guitarist/tunesmith to interpret original songs with and then form a band.
Song subjects are mostly Leeds-centric and/or personal with no love songs or someone left me songs. Subjects slide from Sutcliffe to Savile with Bar Phono, county lines, everyday trans lives, pointless politicians, over sexualised internet sadness and the silliness of organised religion just some of the topics.
I'm looking for someone who loves Johnny Marr, Kevin Shields and Joey Santiago.
The song backings I made are quite experimental musically (lots of samples, effects and strings), I want to turn them into guitar, keys, bass and drums based songs that can be played live and recorded as a new album, if that sounds of interest then get in touch and I can send links.
Influences I'd like to head towards are The Smiths, My Bloody Valentine and the Pixies but formulating some new musical medicine along the way and distribute to the morose masses.
