I play:
Bass Guitar
About me: My name is Maurilio (Mo'). I'm a bass player of long experience.
Bio:
My friends call me Mo, I hail from Ticino, Switzerland, a small beautiful country in the Alps. I recall being fed heavy musical meals of The Beatles, Elvis, Bill Haley, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, just to name a few. At the age of three I was already intensely concentrated on how to play a guitar, but at the age of 14 I fell in love with the Bass. I started playing with friends and began taking lessons with the local pros. One of my first real working band was an Elvis Presley Tribute band.
When my formal education ended, I apprenticed as an electrician and took a job as a technician in a company all the while playing in several bands. After years of a day job I didn’t much care for, I decided to get involved seriously as a professional musician. I packed my bags, sold my belongings and said goodbye to my friends and moved to Los Angeles to study and train at The Musicians Institute. Upon graduation (awarded outstanding student) I was asked to stay and teach.
I speak fluent Italian, French and English, basic Spanish.
