About me: I'm an enthusiastic and experienced mid-50's vocalist looking to join a covers band with a view to doing some gigs and otherwise just enjoying our music. I have a good range and can cover a lot of styles, I'm not afraid to try anything from soulful ballads to hard rock, even swing in the style of Robbie Williams. I have a strong work ethic, no trouble with commitment to rehearsals, am time-flexible and willing to travel for the right setup (I live on Sydney's Lower Northern Beaches). I'm totally confident in front of a live audience. I've also been playing guitar for 35 years, playing rhythm and lead in various bands in my youth, with a range of different influences. My main vocal influences these days are Queen, U2, Elton, Billy Joel, Matchbox 20, Powderfinger, The Script, James Bay etc but I'm flexible. I own a few guitars (A & E), amp and a full (small) PA setup for practice. In early 2022 I also decided to take up the keys and that is progressing very well, just to add another string to my bow ;)
