About me: Musicians of Essex,
I've been playing guitar for over 20 years and writing songs/lyrics for even longer. Have decent gear and am looking to form an original alternative rock band to rebel against the lift muzak of Sheeran, Coldplay and the dreary modern dirges that pollute our ears, while taking a stand against austerity, politicians and social injustice. Multiple influences include: Hendrix, The Clash, Led Zeppelin, QOTSA, Pixies, Husker Du/Sugar/Bob Mould, Ramones, Sleaford Mods, Slash, Johnny Marr/Smiths, Manics, Suede, Nirvana, Therapy?, Alice In Chains, Sex Pistols, Radiohead, Bowie, St. Vincent, The Cure, RATM, Queen, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Joy Division, Idlewild, 3CR etc.
