About us: I am currently looking to form a band and I am keen to recruit any musicians! I am currently very interested in getting a hardcore punk/ska band up and running. I am a massive fan of that style of music and I write my own music, plus I do covers as well. I am incredibly keen to start playing and gigging with people. Please send me a message if your interested. Just to note, this is a very relaxed project I am interested in doing its not going to be a massive commitment It would just be a nice thing to do and I am keen to get started. Im Finlay, I live in Norwich
What inspired my taste of music:
Im a big fan of this type because of the energy behind it and the rawness of it. Although I am open to other types of hardcore rock as well! I just love writing music and ever since I was a kid, my dad introduced me to a lot of music that i listen to now. Im particularly experienced with guitar, been playing for about 10 years, I also play drums as well. But as an adult now I love going to gigs and watching bands on stage. I thought this would be such a cool thing to experience.
Equipment I have: I have a 1998 Yamaha guitar that I got when i was 10, it works like an absolute dream and I have restringed it. Plus I also have an amp which is portable. I have a drum kit but it is in my dad's attic at the moment
Do I have a performing space: Unfortunatly not, I have a flat however but the size is minimal and noise restrictions are a problem, anyone out there with a recording space would be highly appreciated, if not we can work something out.
Song types: Im casual really, I have written a few but I have also done a few covers as well which Id be keen on doing with people!
Band inspirations: My band tastes is relatively niche, I love a lot of underground punk bands such as Choking Victim, Dead Kennedy's. Angelic Upstarts (hardcore punk) but I also like a lot of popular punk bands especially ones in the american scene such as Rancid, Green Day, Reel Big Fish, Mighty Mighty Bosstones and plenty of others. Plus classic British punk bands like the specials, sex pistols... But I am open to anything and I am a big fan of metal and hard rock. Basically anything my pallet is all inclusive
