I'm an experienced drummer in my 50s with over 30 years of playing, recording, and performing experience, and I'm looking to connect with like-minded musicians for a new or existing project.
My musical interests center around:
Psychedelic Rock
Ambient / Atmospheric Music
Post-Rock
Dream Pop
Shoegaze
Alternative and New Wave influences
I enjoy original music but am also interested in incorporating covers that fit these styles, particularly reinterpretations of 80s alternative and new wave artists. Think bands and artists along the lines of Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, The Cure, New Order, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Chameleons, Talk Talk, David Sylvian, Ride, Sigur Rós, Mogwai, and similar sonic territories.
I'm hoping to find musicians who:
Share a passion for creating textured, atmospheric, melodic music
Are committed yet realistic about balancing music with life's other responsibilities
Would like to rehearse approximately once per week
Are interested in performing live around once per month
Enjoy collaboration, creativity, and building something meaningful over time
While I'm seeking similarly experienced players, age is not a deal breaker. Musical chemistry, dedication, and a good attitude matter far more than a number.
