About us: Can’t be a startup musician. Must have a least 10 years experience playing live gigs. Must know or willing to learn rock n’ roll music from the 1950s, 60s, some 70s. Examples: Rock Around the Clock (Bill Haley), Ain’t That A Shame (Pat Boone), Shake Rattle & Roll (Joe Turner), Little Bitty Pretty One (Thurston Howard), To Know Him Is to Love Him (Teddy Bears), Donna (Richie Valens), Sea Of Love (Phil Phillips), Run Around Sue (Dion & the Belmonts). In addition will do a fair amount of R&B, Motown. You get the idea. You must have a sample of your playing online that I can access. Willing to rehearse. Rehearsal frequency TBD. Rehearsals will take place in Union County, NJ. Seeking the following personnel:
1. Keyboard w/vocals (must have own PA, mic & stand and willing to let an additional vocalist share the system, however the vocalist should have their own mic & stand)
2. Tenor Sax
3. Lead or Rhythm Guitar
Must have a total professional attitude towards the music and must also possess stage presence. This is not a jam band. This is for revenue producing gigs. I know there will be those that will be offended by the requirements and the general outline of this posting. But, if you're a real professional, you get it, and I'm sure you've been there, and have been at countless auditions. You would not find the requirements unusual in the professional world of music, it's the norm and would appreciate the upfront approach. No, I'm not full of myself. I just know what it takes to put together a professional band.
